Made for the mountain air

There's a particular kind of cold that comes off the mountains down here. Crisp, clean, the kind that gets into everything if you're not dressed for it.

Ally and Abby know it well, and put a couple of Cloudy Knits pieces to the test on a walk through the lupins in Glenorchy, mountains doing what they do best in the background. Turns out it's the kind of place that makes the case for good knitwear better than we ever could in writing.

New Zealand kid mohair is built for exactly this. Warm without the bulk, breathable enough that you're not sweating it out the second the sun comes through, and soft enough that you'll want to keep it on long after you're back inside.

The South Island doesn't really do halfway weather, and we don't think your knitwear should either. Something that holds up on a crisp morning by the lake, and still feels right thrown over your shoulders at the end of the day.

That's the whole idea behind every piece we make. Not just something to wear, but something built for how it actually feels to live down here.
